Workshop and Panel Discussion Proposals
We are looking for some great workshop and panel discussion ideas and presenters. Think in terms of what you want, what you might be interested in learning about, what kind of professional development would be interesting. Below are conference details as well as proposal requirements.
All workshop presenters and panel organizers/moderators will receive complimentary conference and a $500 USD check stipend during conference.
The Conference and Exhibition:
FoodPhotoAffair conference and exhibition is about professional development and awarding those professional that are best in class. FoodPhotoAffair's audience consist of food photographers, food stylists, food bloggers and other food industry professionals interested in photography and styling.
The conference seeks to provide professional development workshops, lively professional discussions, engaging speaker panels and a fun/relaxed environment to network with sponsors and other food related professionals.
Proposals will be accepted from now until October 1st, 2019. Below are some requirements for the proposals.
You must have a title, a detailed description showing how this workshop or panel fits within a 45 minute timeframe, details of what will be discussed/demonstrated, etc., name/names of presenters (you need to be able to get all the speakers named), presenter/speaker(s) bio/background and why they are a good fit for this topic, list of any requirements from FoodPhotoAffair Ex. portable burners, projectors, kitchen facilities, etc.
Some workshop/panel ideas:
How to land a farm to table shoot, Shooting with liquid nitrogen, Using digital marketing, Marketing yourself - promos, social media, Branding yourself, Know your business - deductions, income, taxes, Video 101, Video in Motion 3D using robots, How to understand an art director, Shooting with chefs - a chefs perspective. These are just ideas and you can use these and expand on them.
350 - 450 attendees, over 50 workshops/panel discussions, Keynote speakers for all three days (6 total, all attendee meals), Wine/Food tastings, Wine Cave dinner for 200 guests, 6 pre-conference culinary excursions, 15 exhibition categories , over $13,000 in awards
