Laurel Ziemienski www.laurelthestylist.com

As a food stylist with over 20 years of experience in the photo and video world, a keen eye for beauty, harmony and mouthwatering goodness is what fuels my creativity on a daily basis. Cooking has been in my blood since I was born, my insatiable curiosity for food and the endless combination of ingredients is what led me to the rewarding world of food styling. I work on local and national projects ranging from TV commercials and cooking shows to print advertising and editorial projects. My previous freelance work as a model and wardrobe stylist has helped me develop a well rounded career, providing clients with multiple services which also include on camera roles and prop styling. I love my job and am grateful to have turned a passion into a career.

Honorable Mention
Lisa Golden Schroeder www.2fish1dish.com

As a well-seasoned food stylist, I made the tricky transition from working in the analog world of commercial photography to embracing the magic of digital (I won't share how many years that's been.) My background is in food science and journalism, with a classic culinary education in France. I've worked in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area for most of my career--a longtime hub of creatively effective commercial and editorial food work. It's been a place where I've had generous autonomy to really develop my personal style and collaborate with truly talented designers and photographers. I'm deeply interested in understanding the stories behind food cultures and am inspired by people and places I've been, including in my own backyard. Which drove the founding of my blog, 2fish1dish.com, that I write with food shooter Dennis Becker (the one who captured this photo, which will be in an upcoming blog post.) He & I also co-authored an award-winning book, "Untamed Mushrooms: From Field to Table" (it was a finalist for best cookbook photography & styling this year at IACP.) I was able to stretch my usual work boundaries & make the most of my writing, recipe, and styling skills in one huge project--daunting, but an extraordinary, creative journey with pros I really admire. This shot epitomizes the ultimate goal of a successful food image: it captures the most elemental aspects of appetite appeal.

She is the author of "La Tartine Gourmande: Recipes for an Inspired Life" (Roost Books, Feb 2012), and “My French Family Table” (Roost Books, May 2016). Béatrice participates in retreats and workshops where the focus is on teaching food styling and photography. The latest ones are scheduled this season 2019 in Greece and Sicily. Honorable Mention

Food, lifestyle and travel photographer; I rose up among a passionate family of artists who lived in Italy, a destination that inspired our lifestyle combining its flavors and arts with authentic Egyptian culture. Exploring the arts of everyday developed throughout my path to become a passion. After graduating from school of architecture in 2001, I pulled my very basic gear and started an endless journey of exploring people, their lives, what they eat and where they travel. Wasn’t actually seeing photography as a career, as much as just participating in some documentaries and short articles, or doing some exhibitions. My first exhibition about Siwa oasis, a paradise in the North of Egypt western desert, was the spark that led to my professional path and determined the inevitable switch of vocation, from Architecture to Photography. Food and culinary life has always been my undiscovered passion since childhood, which encouraged me to practice food photography and explore all the various facets of the gastronomic world. I have participated in various numbers of international conferences and workshops in New York, Boston and Los Angeles besides being around a massive network of culinary professionals around the world. Food is only a part of our lifestyle, and as a photographer, one cannot extract the culinary world from the daily life, which became my most honest subject; it enables me today to capture the day to day details and celebrate life by framing its simple fragments. Culinary photography enlarged my perspective, and allowed me today to embrace all life related subjects by enlarging my vision to include hospitality, designs, and the people who make it happen. Together with a team of professional assistants, designers, art directors, stylists, and culinary experts, we are proud today to leave a visual signature that enriched the understanding of Lifestyle in Egypt and the Middle East.

Leslie Orlandini www.leslieorlandini.com

I pride myself on having a well rounded background in food. I started out as an artist, but as so many do, found myself working for Restaurants and Caterers. In the early days of Food Television, I stumbled upon Food Network (Television Food Network, TVFN in those days) and it was such a good fit for all my skills, both cooking and visual arts. I’ve styled for many books and periodicals, as well as thousands of food segments for Network and Cable TV.

John Troxell is a Los Angeles based food photographer. With a style quite his own. Not relying on the editorial “look” that so many food photographers capture, John concentrates on gorgeous super rich imagery. Taking into consideration the birth of food and it’s natural beginnings to the farmers and people who bring it to the dinner table. The importance of this is captured in John’s website with the stunning landscape photography of almond and fruit trees and the farms that supply the goods. The most important part of John’s photography is the true “mouth watering” imagery that you get.
