Press Release

Today the Food Photo Affair conference and exhibition announced a new policy intended to keep all in-person attendees safe. In light of the growing number of COVID-19 cases thanks to the Delta variant, all conference attendees and speakers must provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19 in order to attend.

The organizers of FPA care greatly for the food photography and stylist community, and requiring vaccinations for the event is the best way to protect our attendees safety (and peace of mind).

“It has long been my dream to bring our worldwide photography and food styling community together for a conference and exhibition that helps best-in-class professionals showcase their work,” said Jeffrey Martin, founder of Food Photo Affair. “Central to the conference is the chance to network with some of the most respected names in the industry in an open friendly and social atmosphere. This is only possible if our guest feel safe, and I firmly believe the consensus of the scientific community that vaccinations are the most effective way to help protect ourselves and others.”

We understand this decision might not resonate with all attendees.
Food Photo affair understands that some people have decided not to be vaccinated, while others have pre-existing health issues that prevent them from receiving the vaccine. Anyone who has already purchased a ticket for the conference and is NOT willing/able to show proof of vaccination will be refunded in full. Please contact us directly to begin that process.

COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place.
In addition to the vaccine requirement, Food Photo Affair will be taking every precaution during the conference to keep attendees safe. This includes following all state of California recommendations for COVID-19 at the time of the conference and hand-washing stations and sanitizer available throughout. Closer to the event, we will share the exact procedures that will be in place.

If you haven’t registered but would still like to, the deadline is fast approaching!
Food Photo Affair will offer attendees 60+ interactive workshops and demonstrations, lively food photography discussions, engaging speaker panels and a host of networking opportunities. In addition, registration now includes access to a comprehensive digital video library of EVERY FPA workshop and event!
